Chowmein is one of the most famous street food of India. , Everyone loves chowmein. It is a very famous dish all over the world. Everyone's mouth waters on hearing the name of Chowmein. Especially, every kid has this favorite dish. Chowmein can be served to children in the evening snack and breakfast. Making chowmein is very easy. You can make it nutritious by adding vegetables to it and make it full of health for children. In this way it will be beneficial for the children.

Ingredients for Chowmein Recipe

  • 125 g Chowmein Noodles
  • 1/2 tsp White vinegar
  • 1/2 tbsp Red chili sauce
  • 1 tbsp Dark soy sauce
  • 1/2 tbsp Schezwan sauce
  • 1.50 tbsp Tomato ketchup
  • As Required Freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/2 tbsp Green chili sauce
  • 0.13 cup Cabbage
  • 1/2 Pieces Capsicum
  • 1/2 Pieces Onion
  • as required Oil
  • to taste Salt
  • As Required Chowmein Masala Mixture
  • 1/4 tbsp Garam masala
  • 0.17 tbsp Red chili powder
  • As Required For Ganishing reen Onion Leaves for Garnishing

Directions: Chowmein Recipe

  • STEP 1.Heat water in a bowl, when the water comes to a boil, then add salt as per taste, after that put the chowmein noodles in boiling water, slow down the flame and turn off the gas after 4 minutes.
  • STEP 2.Boil the chowmein until it turns from the middle.
  • STEP 3.Do not cook them for a long time.
  • STEP 4.After 3 to 4 minutes, put the chowmein in a sieve, separate it from the water and wash it with cold water. Add oil to the chowmein noodles and mix it with light hands.
  • STEP 5.Heat a heavy bottomed wok on high flame and add some oil to it.
  • STEP 6.When the oil becomes hot, then add finely chopped onion, capsicum and cabbage and fry it for 3 to 4 minutes.
  • STEP 7.After roasting all these vegetables on high flame, add chowmein and mix it. After mixing chowmein, immediately add white vinegar, dark soy sauce and mix it. Add green chili sauce, schezwan sauce, salt and red chili powder.
  • STEP 8.After this add black pepper powder and mix it and cook it well while stirring the chowmein.
  • STEP 9.Mix tomato ketchup in this so that the sauce and vegetables mix well with the noodles.

  • STEP 10.Chowmein is ready to serve.

  • STEP 12.1.When the water comes to a good boil, the chowmein noodles have to be put to boil.
  • STEP 13.2.Do not over cook the chowmein noodles otherwise they will become sticky.
  • STEP 14.3.Before frying chowmein, all preparations have to be done because they have to be cooked on high flame.
