Ingredients for chole biryani Recipe

  • 1/2 cup basmati rice
  • 1.50 cup Boiled chole
  • 1 nos Onion finely chopped
  • 1 nos Tomato pureed
  • 1/2 tsp green chilli paste
  • 1/2 tsp garic paste
  • 1/2 tsp ginger grated
  • 1.50 nos Curd - tblsp
  • 0.13 tsp Turmeric Powder -
  • 3/4 tsp Red chilli powder - &
  • 1/2 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp roasted cumin powder
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper powder
  • 1/2 tsp amchur powder
  • As required Coriander leaves
  • 1.50 nos chopped or mint leaves - tblsp
  • 1 tsp chole masala
  • As required Salt
  • 1/2 tsp kasure methi
  • As required To temper
  • 1.50 nos Ghee or Oil - tblsp
  • 1/2 inch Cinnamon -
  • 1/2 nos Bay leaf -
  • 1/2 nos Cloves -
  • 1/2 nos Cardamom -
  • 1/2 tsp jeera/ Cumin seeds -
  • 1 nos potatoes cut into cubes and fried
  • As required Other ingredients
  • 1/4 cup Milk lukewarm
  • 1/2 tsp Saffron
  • 1/2 cup fried onion
  • 1 tbsp Ghee

Directions: Chole Biryani Recipe

  • STEP 1.Soak basmati rice in warm water for 5 mins atleast. Keep aside.Boil it with some whole spice till it done 80 percent and strain.keep aside.
  • STEP 2.Next add 3 tbsp of ghee in kadhai.Add all the ingredients given under to temper.Fry some time.
  • STEP 3.Next add onions fry till translucent.Now add green chilli paste,garlic paste ,grated ginger ,tomato puree mix well and cook for a while.
  • STEP 4.now add all masalas red chilli powder, turmeric ,chole masala,coriander powder,roasted cumin powder, amchur powder ,salt all the dry masalas Fry till masalas are well incorporated
  • STEP 5.now add curd stir it contuniue and lastely add chole and Kasturi methi ,fried aloo mix well and cook for 5 minutes.
  • STEP 6.In a bowl take milk and saffron keep aside.
  • STEP 7.Layering..
  • STEP 8.In a heavy bottom pan or kadai or pressure cooker first layer of cooked chole.
  • STEP 9.Then layer rice ,coriander chopped or mint leaves,milk saffron or little bit ghee.
  • STEP 10.Again chole layer and rice layer and finely sprinkle saffron milk ,fried onion,mint coriander leaves cover it with foil and then cover it with lis or heavy weight.
  • STEP 11.put the pan on preheared tawa on sim gas and cook it for 20 minutes.Ready your chole biryani.
