Ingredients for Chole Bhature Recipe

  • 1/10 cups Refined flour
  • 1/10 cup Yogurt
  • 1/5 tsp Instant yeast
  • 1/5 tsp Salt
  • 0.40 tbsp Oil
  • 0.40 tsp Sugar
  • 0.40 cups Chickpeas
  • 1 Pieces Cardamom
  • 0.40 Pieces Cinnamon sticks
  • As Required Salt
  • 0.40 Pieces Onions
  • 1/5 cup Tomato puree
  • 0.60 Pieces Clove
  • 0.40 tsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1/5 tsp Red chilli powder
  • 0.60 tsp Chole masala
  • 1 cups water
  • 0.40 tbsp Ghee
  • 1/10 tsp Garam masala
  • 0.40 tbsp Coriander leaves

Directions: Chole Bhature Recipe

  • STEP 1.For bhature take flour, yeast, yoghurt, sugar, oil and salt in a bowl.

  • STEP 2.Add  a cup of warm water and mix gradually to make a soft dough.

  • STEP 3.Cover the dough with a wet cloth and keep it aside for 2 hours.

  • STEP 4.For chole soak the chickpeas overnight in enough water to cover them.

  • STEP 5.In a pressure cooker boil the soaked chickpeas with water and some salt.

  • STEP 6.Pressure cook at high flame till you get 1-2 whistles and then lower the flame to medium and let the chickpeas cook for another 10-12 minutes.

  • STEP 7.In a wok, heat 2 tsp of oil and then add whole garam masalas.

  • STEP 8.Add onions and fry till the raw smell goes away and they are light golden brown in colour.

  • STEP 9.Add ginger-garlic paste and cook for 3-4 minutes till the smell of ginger-garlic goes away.

  • STEP 10.Add the garam masala, red chilli powder and mix for 1-2 minutes.

  • STEP 11.Now add the tomato puree, stir and let it cook for 12-15 minutes on medium-low flame.

  • STEP 12.Add the boiled chickpeas, chole masala and salt and stir till all the chickpeas are coated with the spices.

  • STEP 13.Add water and chat masala, cover the pan and let it simmer at medium flame for 20 minutes.

  • STEP 14.The gravy will thicken after 20 minutes so add water accordingly.

  • STEP 15.Sprinkle some kasuri methi and garnish with chopped coriander leaves, onion rings and chopped ginger.

  • STEP 16.Now divide bhatura dough into equal portions and them into balls.

  • STEP 17.Roll out like chapati with rolling pin.

  • STEP 18.Heat oil in a kadai and deep fry the bhaturas on high heat till light brown on both sides.

  • STEP 19.Drain on absorbent paper.

  • STEP 20.Serve hot chole bhature with onion rings and some pickles.
