Ingredients for Choclo Recipe

  • 4 No.s medium onions
  • 3 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 700 gram ground beef
  • 2 teaspoon cumin
  • 2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground pepper
  • 3 cup corn kernels
  • 1 cup Whole Milk
  • 1/4 cup Butter
  • 1 tablespoon Sugar
  • 2 tablespoon Basil
  • 1/2 cup Raisins
  • 0.33 cup chopped black olives
  • 3 No.s hard boiled eggs
  • 1 cup roasted chicken

Directions: Choclo Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1. heat oil in a pan and sauté onions until soft and translucent - 5 minutes.

step 2

  • STEP 1. add ground beef, cumin, salt, and pepper to the cooked onions.

step 3

  • STEP 1.cook the mixture by stirring it continuesly until the beef is crumbled and browned. Once done switch off the flame.

step 4

  • STEP 1. put the corn kernels in a food processor with 1/4 cup milk and blend in order to prepare a milky mixture.

  • STEP 1.melt 1/4 cup of butter in a pan and add in some salt, sugar, and the blended corn mixture to it.

step 6

  • STEP 1.add remaining milk and simmer for about 5 to 10 minutes.

  • STEP 1.turn off the flame and top it with chopped basil.

step 8

  • STEP 1.preheat oven to 375 degree f.

  • STEP 1. drain liquid from the beef mixture and place it in the bottom of a 3- to 4-quart casserole dish.

step 10

  • STEP 1. sprinkle a few raisins, olives, and hardboiled eggs over the beef, then layer the chicken on top.

step 11

  • STEP 1.bake the casserole in the oven for about 30 to 45 minutes a d you are done.
