Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Soak rice in water for 4-5 hours and then grind it into a smooth batter.
  • STEP 2.Add a pinch of salt and let the batter ferment overnight.
  • STEP 3.Heat a non-stick pan and pour a ladleful of batter to form a round pancake.
  • STEP 4.Cook on low heat until the edges turn golden brown and the center is cooked.
  • STEP 5.Flip the pancake and cook for another minute.
  • STEP 6.Serve hot with jaggery syrup, coconut chutney, or dalma.
  • STEP 7.Store any leftover batter in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.

  • Make sure the batter is of pouring consistency, similar to dosa batter.
