Ingredients for Chinese Style Garlic Butter Pork Roast Recipe
8 piece Pork shoulder cut into equal 2 kg
1.25 teaspoon Salt
1 teaspoon Pepper
As required Ingredients for sauce
100 gram Unsalted butter
80 gram Brown sugar
65 milliliter Cider vinegar or white vinegar
4 Garlic finely chopped cloves
1/4 teaspoon Black pepper
Directions: Chinese Style Garlic Butter Pork Roast Recipe
STEP 1.Preheat the oven to 160 degrees C.
STEP 2.For the sauce, in a saucepan add 65 ml cider vinegar or white vinegar, 80 gm brown sugar, 100 gm unsalted butter, 4 cloves finely chopped garlic, ¼ tsp salt, ¼ tsp black pepper.
STEP 3.Turn on the heat to medium and cook stirring continuously, till ingredients are well combined.
STEP 4.Remove from the heat. Keep aside.
STEP 5.Line a roasting tray with kitchen foil. On the tray, arrange 2 kg pork shoulder cut into 8 equal pieces.
STEP 6.Sprinkle the pork with 1 tsp salt and 1 tsp pepper.
STEP 7.Pour the prepared butter sauce all over the pork.
STEP 8.Then cove the tray with foil and place in the oven to cook for 1 hour 15 minutes.
STEP 9.Then remove from the oven, uncover the tray and turn the pieces of pork over.
STEP 10.Return the tray to the oven uncovered for another 15 minutes.
STEP 11.Remove from the oven and turn the pieces over again.
STEP 12.Spoon the juices from the tray all over the pieces of pork.
STEP 13.Return the tray to the oven for another 10 minutes.
STEP 14.Then remove from the oven and let the pork rest for another 5 minutes.
STEP 15.Serve on a bed of lettuce.
