Ingredients for Chinese Spicy Tofu Recipe

  • 2-3 tablespoon Oil
  • 1 gram Tofucut into cm cubes 400
  • 10 gram Ginger finely chopped
  • 40 gram Garden peas
  • 2 Red chillies finely chopped
  • 15 gram Curry powder
  • 5 milliliter Light soy sauce
  • bunch Coriander roughly chopped small
  • 1 Spring onion roughly chopped
  • 400 milliliter Chicken or vegetable stock
  • 1 teaspoon corn flour
  • 50 milliliter Water

Directions: Chinese Spicy Tofu Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1. boil 300 ml water in a pan and add 40 gm garden peas. Boil for 2 min and then remove and drain. Keep boiled peas aside.

step 2

  • STEP 1. heat 2 tsp oil in a pan and add 400 gm cubed tofu. Fry on medium heat till golden on all sides. Flip them over frequently to ensure that they change color evenly.

  • STEP 1.use a slotted spoon to remove the tofu from the pan and shake the excess oil off in the pan. Transfer to a bowl. Keep aside.

  • STEP 1.in the same pan add a little more oil if required and fry 10 gm finely chopped ginger and 2 finely chopped green chilies for 20 seconds till fragrant.

  • STEP 1.at this stage, add 400 ml chicken or vegetable stock, 40 gm boiled garden peas, and the fried tofu cubes.

  • STEP 1.turn the what to high and bring to a boil.

  • STEP 1.when boiling, add 5 ml soy sauce ,15 gm curry powder and salt to taste .stir together. Turn the heat to medium low.

  • STEP 1.then add corn flour mixture of 1 tsp corn flour mixed with 50 ml water and stir well.

step 9

  • STEP 1. let the pan return to a boil. Add a small bunch roughly chopped coriander and 1 roughly chopped spring onion.

  • STEP 1. transfer to a bowl and serve.
