Crispy Chilli Chinese Potatoes π₯are a super addictive snack. These fried potatoes π₯ are tossed in sauces and spices which gives a sweet and spicy taste π₯ that youβll be licking and enjoying.
STEP 1.Firstly boil the potatoes π₯ by giving only 1 whistle.
STEP 2.Keep aside to cool.
STEP 3.Now soak the red kashmiri chillies πΆοΈ in 1/2 cup water π§ for about 15_20 mins and grind it don't discard the water π.
STEP 4.Add the chilli πΆοΈ paste to this water π and add to it all the other spices and sauces and add the remaining cornflour π½ mix it well and keep aside.
STEP 5.Now peel the potatoes π₯ and prick them with the fork.
STEP 6.Now take a big mixing bowl π₯£ and add 1 tbsp cornflour π½ put some salt and black pepper mix it well and add the potatoes π₯ .
STEP 7.Stir it well till all the potatoes are coated well with cornflour π½.
STEP 8.Leave it for 10_12 mins to rest.
STEP 9.Now heat oil in a kadhai and deep fry the coated potatoes π₯ till golden crispy.
STEP 10.Remove it on a kitchen paper π napkin to absorb the excess oil πͺ
STEP 11.Now take a non stick pan π₯ and heat 1 tbsp oil πͺ and butter and saute garlic π§ finely chopped.
STEP 12.Once it starts leaving the raw smell add chopped onion π§ and saute till it's transparent.
STEP 13.Now add to this the spicy cornflour π½ mix and stir well.
STEP 14.Add the fried potatoes π₯ and mix it well and let it cook on low flame π₯ for 8_10 mins keep stirring in between.
STEP 15.Once cooked you can give the smoky effect.
STEP 16.Serve hot π₯΅ as dry snacks.
