Presenting a super delicious , wholesome and comfort food ……. Chicken Stew prepared with just few vegetables and it can be a wonderful dinner for weight watchers.
STEP 1.Chop onion, capsicum cubes, carrot slices, potato cubes, tomato cubes and slit green chilli. Finely minced ginger and garlic.
STEP 2.Marinade chicken with salt + pepper powder and marinade for 30 - 40 minutes.
STEP 3.In pan add Butter / Oil, add dry spices and sauté for few seconds, then add garlic and sauté for few seconds, then add onion and sauté till translucent.
STEP 4.Then add ginger + potato + carrot + green chilli and sauté for 2-3 minutes.
STEP 5.Then add marinaded chicken and stir fry for 3-4 minutes.
STEP 6.Then add capsicum cubes and sauté 3-4 minutes under cover.
STEP 7.Now add water + salt + tomato, mix well and cook under cover for 10 - 13 minutes under low flame.
STEP 8.Now add corn flour mix in 1/2 cup milk, pour corn flour mix and stir well, then add remaining milk + pepper powder and check for salt also and stir well. Simmer for 3-4 minutes and keep in stand by mode for 1-2 minutes.
Warm water can be added at this stage as per preferred consistency.
STEP 9.Now chicken stew is done.
STEP 10.Serve hot hot with toasted bread or it can be enjoyed without any accompaniment.
