Ingredients for Chicken Stew Recipe

  • 150 grams Chicken breast
  • 1/2 Pieces Medium onion
  • 1/2 Pieces Medium tomato
  • 1/2 Pieces Small carrot
  • 1/2 Pieces small potato
  • 1/4 cup Capsicum cubes
  • 1 Pieces green chilli
  • 1/2 Pieces Small cinnamon stick
  • 1.50 Pieces Cloves
  • 2 Pieces Pepper corns
  • 3 Pieces Garlic
  • 1/2 Inch Ginger
  • 1/2 cup Coconut milk
  • 1/2 tbsp Butter
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 tsp pepper powder
  • 1/2 tsp Corn flour
  • 1 tsp Salt

Directions: Chicken Stew Recipe

  • STEP 1.Chop onion, capsicum cubes, carrot slices, potato cubes, tomato cubes and slit green chilli. Finely minced ginger and garlic.

  • STEP 2.Marinade chicken with salt + pepper powder and marinade for 30 - 40 minutes.

  • STEP 3.In pan add Butter / Oil, add dry spices and sauté for few seconds, then add garlic and sauté for few seconds, then add onion and sauté till translucent.

  • STEP 4.Then add ginger + potato + carrot + green chilli and sauté for 2-3 minutes.

  • STEP 5.Then add marinaded chicken and stir fry for 3-4 minutes.

  • STEP 6.Then add capsicum cubes and sauté 3-4 minutes under cover.

  • STEP 7.Now add water + salt + tomato, mix well and cook under cover for 10 - 13 minutes under low flame.

  • STEP 8.Now add corn flour mix in 1/2 cup milk, pour corn flour mix and stir well, then add remaining milk + pepper powder and check for salt also and stir well. Simmer for 3-4 minutes and keep in stand by mode for 1-2 minutes. Warm water can be added at this stage as per preferred consistency.

  • STEP 9.Now chicken stew is done.

  • STEP 10.Serve hot hot with toasted bread or it can be enjoyed without any accompaniment.
