Paturi is a authentic Bengali dish, in this recipe chicken is wrapped and cooked in banana leaves.
STEP 1.Take boneless chicken, onion and 2 green chillies and make a paste in the blender.
STEP 2.In a bowl add chicken paste, mustard paste, poppy seed paste, grated coconut, salt, ginger garlic paste, lemon juice and mix well. Marinate the mixture for 30 minutes.
STEP 3.Take banana leaves, lightly roast them to avoid cracking, take the chicken mixture, put it in the middle of the banana leaf, put 1 green chilli and little Mustard oil over it and wrap it and prick with a tooth pick. Repeat the same process for the remaining chicken.
STEP 4.In a pan brush mustard oil, put the chicken wrap and cover and cook in medium flame till banana leaves get brown in colour from both sides. Paturi is ready, serve with steamed rice.
