  • 1/2 stick Cinnamon
  • 1/2 Bay Leaf
  • 1 Onions, Finely Chopped
  • 1 Tomatoes, Finely Chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon Coriander Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cumin Powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Garam Masala
  • 1/2 tablespoon Kasuri Methi
  • 1/2 cup Water

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Marinate the chicken pieces with yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt.
  • STEP 2.Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds, cloves, cinnamon stick, and bay leaf. Saute until fragrant.
  • STEP 3.Add chopped onions and cook until golden brown. Then, add the marinated chicken and cook until it turns brown.
  • STEP 4.Add chopped tomatoes, coriander powder, cumin powder, garam masala, and kasuri methi. Cook until the tomatoes are soft.
  • STEP 5.Add water, cover the pan, and simmer until the chicken is cooked through and the gravy thickens.
  • STEP 6.Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or naan bread.

Cooking Tips

  • Marinating the chicken for at least 30 minutes will enhance the flavor and tenderness.
  • Adjust the spice level according to your preference by adding more or less red chili powder.
