Ingredients for Chicken Chettinad Recipe

  • 100 g chicken
  • 0.17 Tsp coriander seeds
  • 0.17 Tsp fennel seeds
  • 0.67 Tsp peppercorns
  • 1 Pieces red chillies
  • 0.67 Pieces cardamom
  • 0.67 Pieces cloves
  • 0.67 Pieces tomatoes
  • 0.08 Cup desiccated coconut
  • 0.33 Inch ginger
  • 2 g arlic cloves
  • 0.33 Tsp salt
  • 0.17 Tsp turmeric powder
  • 0.67 Tbsp oil
  • 0.33 Pieces onion
  • 0.08 Cup curry leaves
  • 0.33 Tbsp Lemon Juice

Directions: Chicken Chettinad Recipe

  • STEP 1.Dry roast coriander seed, fennel seed, peppercorns, red chilli, cardamom, cloves, coconut.
  • STEP 2.Let it cool
  • STEP 3.Chop tomatoes, ginger and onions.
  • STEP 4.Grind the roasted spices, tomatoes, coconut, ginger, garlic with little water into a fine paste.
  • STEP 5.Heat oil and add chopped onion and curry leaves for about five minutes in medium heat.
  • STEP 6.Add chicken. Mix it with the onions. Cover and cook for 5 minutes.
  • STEP 7.Add prepared paste, salt and haldi and mix well. Cover and cook for 10 minutes.
  • STEP 8.Add 2 cups water. Cover and cook for 5 minutes.
  • STEP 9.Check the seasoning and let it cook for 3 more minutes. Switch off the gas.
  • STEP 10.Drizzle lemon juice and stir once.
  • STEP 11.Garnish with coriander leaves.
  • STEP 12.Serve hot with rice / roti / puri.
