Pongal is a tradtional south indian dessert and i just gave it a valentine twist! it has been infused with cherries to bring out the color and give it a new flavor as well.

1/2 tablespoon ghee/clarified butter
2-2.50 pitted cherries
0.06 cup Water
3/4 tablespoon cubes of jaggery/6 brown sugar
3/4-1 drops of red color
As required almonds for garnish
