  • 1/2 teaspoon Cumin Seeds
  • 1/2 Onion, Chopped

  • 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Red Chili Powder

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Soak the black-eyed beans in water for a few hours or overnight.
  • STEP 2.Pressure cook the soaked beans until tender.
  • STEP 3.In a pan, heat oil and add cumin seeds, chopped onions, and garlic. Sauté until onions turn golden brown.
  • STEP 4.Add chopped tomatoes, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Cook until tomatoes are soft and oil separates.
  • STEP 5.Add the cooked beans and mix well. Cook for a few minutes until the flavors are well combined.
  • STEP 6.Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with roti or rice.
