STEP 1.Add sugar in a pan with 200 ml water. Make the sugar syrup with one string consistency. Add 1 gm saffron or orange food colour and little cardamom powder.
Add the maida in a bowl. Add pinch of salt, ghee to the flour. Mix and add water little by little and knead into a soft dough. Allow the dough to rest for fifteen minutes.
Add kova in a plate. Add the grated nuts, powder sugar, cardamom powder , saffron and ghee. Mix all together. Roll the stuffing into small lengthy size with hands.
Roll the dough and cut it into small pieces. Using chapathi roller make small and thin sheets. Apply water slightly on the inner side and place the kova stuffing. Fold and press the corner properly. Then make little little fold with fingers on the closed edges. Similarly make all the pieces.
Heat oil in a pan and add slowly all chandrakala sweets one by one. Cook it in medium flame. Leave it for two minutes. Then slowly turn the sweets. After few minutes take it out and check the sweet outer layer is slightly hard. This is the correct stage to take out the sweets.
Soak the sweets in sugar syrup for fifteen minutes and take it out and arrange the sweets in a plate. Sprinkle the nuts and serve. and all of our Group friends 🌸🌸🌸
