Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.In a pan, heat oil and add cumin seeds. Once they splutter, add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
  • STEP 2.Add ginger-garlic paste and cook for a minute. Then, add chopped tomatoes and cook until they turn soft.
  • STEP 3.Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, and salt. Mix well and cook for a minute.
  • STEP 4.Add boiled chickpeas and mash them lightly with a potato masher. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • STEP 5.Take bread slices and spread butter on one side. Place lettuce leaves and tomato slices on top.
  • STEP 6.Spread the chana filling on the other slice of bread and cover the sandwich. Cut it into halves or quarters and serve.
