Chana dal is very healthy protein and delicious Indian dish. We loved chana dal with verious veggies and leafy greens. It cooked in a spicy onion, tomato, masala. It's can be eaten with rice, chapati, roti, and plain pulao.
STEP 1.Take the chana dal with one bowl and wash it well. Now the chana dal add the water in a bowl for two hours. After two hours drain the water from chana dal and like soft. Now take a pressure cooker and add the water with chana dal and boiled it in medium heat until soft for three whistles. Now remove the cooker and few minutes open the lid.
STEP 2.Take the deep pan and add the ghee, you can do oil but i use the ghee and heat in low frame. Add the cumin seeds,red dried chilli and onion slices. They are saute well until the onions turn like golden colour then add the ginger and garlic paste. mix well and fry for tweenty seconds. Now add the tomato puree, salt ,turmeric powder and red chilli powder. Add the garam masala mix well and fry in two minutes. When the all ingredients raw smell has gone and masala smells out like a good then add the boiled chana dal and mix well it. Add the water for curry.
STEP 3.When the chana dal cook until begings to bubble well then turn off the stove. It is do not over cook. Now the open the lid from cooker i garnish the coriander leaves and lemon juice. Serve it hot with rice. You can eat with pulao, chapati, roti.
