Ingredients for CHANA DAL PULAO Recipe

  • 1/2 Cup Basmati rice
  • 1/4 Cup Chana dal
  • 1/2 Pieces Chopped onion
  • 1/2 Tsp Ginger garlic paste
  • 1 Pieces Whole black pepper
  • 1 Pieces Cloves
  • 1/2 Inch Cinnamon
  • 1 Pieces reen cardamon
  • 1/2 Pieces Black cardamom
  • 0.13 Tsp Cumin seeds
  • 1 Tbsp Clarified butter
  • To Taste Salt
  • 1/2 Tbsp Coriander leaves

Directions: Chana Dal Pulao Recipe

  • STEP 1.Soak chana dal for 4 - 5 hours and also wash and soak basmati rice for fifteen mins and strain it
  • STEP 2.Heat clarified butter / ghee in a pressure cooker
  • STEP 3.Add whole garam masala to crackle.
  • STEP 4.Add onion and saute for 2 - 3 mins.
  • STEP 5.Add ginger garlic paste and chana dal and saute for 3 - 4 mins..
  • STEP 6.Add rice and mix well.
  • STEP 7.Add salt and two and half cup of water and cover the lid of the pressure cooker
  • STEP 8.When pressure cooker release the whistle turn off the flame
  • STEP 9.Serve with raita. and salad
