  • STEP 1.Rinse and soak the chana dal for a few hours or overnight.
  • STEP 2.Pressure cook the soaked dal until tender.
  • STEP 3.In a separate pan, heat oil and add cumin seeds, onions, and garlic. Sauté until golden brown.
  • STEP 4.Add tomatoes, ginger-garlic paste, and spices. Cook until the tomatoes are soft and oil separates.
  • STEP 5.Add the cooked dal to the tomato mixture and simmer for a few minutes.
