Ingredients for Chana Daal Vada Recipe

  • 1/4 Cup Chana dal
  • 3/4 Cups bowls of water
  • 1/4 Cups Onion
  • 1 g 4-6 pods of g
  • 1/4 g Piece ginger
  • 1/2 g reen Chilli
  • 1/2 Tsp tb sp chopped coriander leaves
  • to taste Salt
  • 0.06 tsp each of cumin seeds
  • To Taste Red chilli powder
  • As Required Turmeric powder
  • As Required Coriander seeds
  • As Required Black pepper seeds
  • 1/4 Tsp aram masala

Directions: Chana Daal Vada Recipe

  • STEP 1.1. Wash and Soak chana Daal for 4 hours. After 4 hours strain water. Grind dal in a mixer keeping aside 1 tb sp dal in a separate bowl.
  • STEP 2.2. Wash, peel and chop onion, garlic, ginger and green chilli. Chop coriander leaves.
  • STEP 3.3. Mix all the chopped ingredients mentioned at 2 in grinded dal. Mix 1 tb sp soaked dal (which was kept in a separate bowl ) in it.
  • STEP 4.4. Add all the masala ingredients and cumin seeds, coriander seeds and black pepper seeds in it and mix well.
  • STEP 5.5. Heat oil in a wok. Make vadas with the help of your palms and deep fry till golden brown colour. Make all the vadas like this.
  • STEP 6.6. Serve hot with Tomato ketchup.
