Today's recipe is a savory snack item from Andhra Pradesh. Chakodi is made with rice flour and spices. The interesting part of making this snack is shaping them.This is the first time, i made this snack and we love it a lot.
STEP 6.transfer the mixture to a large mixing bowl.
STEP 7.wet your hand with water and start to knead.
STEP 8.be careful as the flour mixture will be hot.
STEP 9.knead until a soft dough is formed.
STEP 10.now pinch a ball sized dough and roll gently.
STEP 11.roll to a thick rope greasing the board with oil.
STEP 12.you can adjust the thickness by rolling gently.
STEP 13.cut into pieces and join the ends.
STEP 14.deep fry in hot oil keeping the flame on medium.
STEP 15.stir occasionally, making sure to fry on low to medium flame.
STEP 16.fry until it turns golden and crisp. takes approximately 10 minutes.
STEP 17.drain off over kitchen paper to remove excess oil.
STEP 18.finally, enjoy chegodilu by storing in an airtight container for a month.
