Ingredients for chakodi Recipe

  • 1/4 Cup Riceflour
  • 1/4 Cup water
  • 0.19 Tsp Chillipowder
  • 1/4 Tbsp ajwain
  • 1/4 Tsp sesmaeseeds
  • 1/4 Tsp jeera
  • 1/4 Tsp Salt
  • 0.06 Tsp Hing
  • 1/2 Tsp Butter
  • As Required Oil

Directions: Chakodi Recipe

  • STEP 1.firstly, in a large kadai take 1 cup water.
  • STEP 2.add ½ tsp chilli powder, ¼ tsp turmeric, ¼ tsp ajwain, 2 tbsp sesame seeds, pinch hing, 1 tsp ghee and ¾ tsp salt.
  • STEP 3.mix well and get the water to a boil.
  • STEP 4.now add 1 cup rice flour and mix well.
  • STEP 5.mix until all the water is absorbed.
  • STEP 6.transfer the mixture to a large mixing bowl.
  • STEP 7.wet your hand with water and start to knead.
  • STEP 8.be careful as the flour mixture will be hot.
  • STEP 9.knead until a soft dough is formed.
  • STEP 10.now pinch a ball sized dough and roll gently.
  • STEP 11.roll to a thick rope greasing the board with oil.
  • STEP 12.you can adjust the thickness by rolling gently.
  • STEP 13.cut into pieces and join the ends.
  • STEP 14.deep fry in hot oil keeping the flame on medium.
  • STEP 15.stir occasionally, making sure to fry on low to medium flame.
  • STEP 16.fry until it turns golden and crisp. takes approximately 10 minutes.
  • STEP 17.drain off over kitchen paper to remove excess oil.
  • STEP 18.finally, enjoy chegodilu by storing in an airtight container for a month.
