A very healthy, unique, and tasty village-style Carp fish and banana melon fish curry. Banana melon itself is not found everywhere and is a seasonal fruit.
STEP 1.Start by brushing the shell of the fish and wash it thoroughly. Then cut them into moderate pieces.

STEP 2.Coat them with ½ tbsp salt and ½ tbsp turmeric powder. And let it sit for 10-15mins.

STEP 3.Meanwhile, chop the onions and dice the banana melon.

STEP 4.After 15mins take a kadai and heat the right amount of oil to fry the fishes.

STEP 5.Deep fry them till golden brown.

STEP 6.Now in the same kadai add the chopped onion, let it caramelize.

STEP 7.Now add the green chili paste and cumin paste and saute them

STEP 8.Add the 1tbsp turmeric powder and salt to taste.

STEP 9.Now add the banana melon and 2 cups more water.
step 10
STEP 10.Once the water comes to boil add the fried fish and cover it.

STEP 11.Keep stirring it occasionally.
