Cabbage contains high amount of vitamin c and very good for weight loss, eye vision, improves brain and bone health. Raw cabbage leaves are somewhat peppery in flavor, but get sweeter as it cooks. Muthia is a gujrati cuisine. In maharashtra it is called as kobichi wadi. We usually use beasn or gram flour as a main ingredient, additionally sometimes we also add semolina or rice flour into it. In this recipe i have used gram flour, wheat flour, minced cabbage, seasoned with some spices. It can be transferred in airtight container and stored for 2-3 days in refrigerator and use whenever required.

  • 1/4 cup Besan/gram flour – 13 tbsp
  • 1 tablespoon Wheat Flour
  • 1/4 cup cabbage Minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon tamarind paste
  • 0.13 teaspoon Asafoetida
  • 0.13 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 0.13 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 0.13 teaspoon Turmeric
  • 0.13 teaspoon Red chilli powder – 1
  • 1/4 teaspoon Grated jaggery
  • 0.38 teaspoon Coarsely ground fresh ginger
  • 1/4 Coarsely ground green chillies
  • 3/4-1 Coarsely ground garlic Cloves
  • As required Salt
  • 1/4 tablespoon oil – + 2tbsp for tempering and shallow frying
  • As required Water for making a dough
  • 3/4-1 For tempering – Curry leaves
  • 0.13 tablespoon cumin seeds
  • 0.13 teaspoon Mustard seeds
  • 0.06 teaspoon Asafoetida
