  • 0.13 cup Rice
  • 1/2 tablespoon Ghee
  • 1/4 teaspoon Cumin Seeds

  • 1.13 Ves Of Garlic, Finely Chopped
  • 0.13 teaspoon Turmeric Powder

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Wash and soak moong dal and rice for 30 minutes.
  • STEP 2.Heat ghee in a pressure cooker and add cumin seeds, cloves, and cinnamon.
  • STEP 3.Add chopped onions and sauté until caramelized.
  • STEP 4.Add burnt garlic and sauté for a minute.
  • STEP 5.Add soaked moong dal, rice, turmeric powder, salt, and water.
  • STEP 6.Pressure cook for 3-4 whistles or until the dal and rice are cooked.
  • STEP 7.Serve hot with yogurt or pickle.

Cooking Tips

  • To make burnt garlic, heat oil in a pan and add finely chopped garlic. Cook until the garlic turns dark brown, but be careful not to burn it.
