Burmese balachaung recipe made out of simple ingredients with authentic touch
STEP 1.Take dried shrimp 🦐 50 gm and soaked in water for 10 mins
STEP 2.Take 50 gms of dried chillies 🌶 and a sp of jeera soaked in water for 10 mins
If you want more spicy then increase the amount of dried chillies
STEP 3.Take a plateful of chopped onions 🧅 and heat the vessel and add 5 sp of cooking oil
STEP 4.Then coarsest grind the soaked dried shrimp and dried chillies jeera separately
Don’t grind it as a smooth paste
STEP 5.When the cooking oil is heated in Kadai add the plateful of chopped onions and sauté it well for 5 mins until it translucent
STEP 6.Then add the coarsest grinder dried shrimp and dried chillies jeera one by one into the sauted onions.
Add some slices of garlic and mix well
STEP 7.Then add some salt to taste and mix it gently in medium flame until it turns into the fine colour I mentioned in the picture of my recipe
STEP 8.Then serve this sambal with hot rice , chapatti or roti varieties
