  • 2 cup Water

  • 1/2 Beef Cubes

  • 1/2 tablespoon Oyster Sauce
  • 1/2 tablespoon Brown Sugar
  • 1 cup Cooked Rice

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.In a large pot, bring water to a boil and add the beef shanks. Cook for about 2 hours or until the beef is tender.
  • STEP 2.While the beef is cooking, prepare the beef pares sauce. In a separate pan, sauté garlic and onions until fragrant. Add the beef cubes and cook until browned.
  • STEP 3.Add soy sauce, oyster sauce, brown sugar, and water to the pan. Simmer for about 10 minutes or until the sauce thickens.
  • STEP 4.Once the beef shanks are tender, remove them from the pot and set aside. Strain the broth and return it to the pot.
  • STEP 5.To serve, place a portion of beef shanks in a bowl and ladle the hot broth over it. Serve with garlic fried rice and a side of beef pares sauce.
