  • 1.50 Ad Slices
  • 0.33 Onion, Finely Chopped
  • 0.33 Tomato, Finely Chopped
  • 0.67 Green Chilies, Finely Chopped

  • 0.17 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.08 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 0.08 teaspoon Red Chili Powder

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.In a bowl, soak flattened rice (poha) in water for a few minutes until it softens.
  • STEP 2.In another bowl, take bread slices and crumble them into small pieces.
  • STEP 3.Add the soaked poha, chopped onions, tomatoes, green chilies, coriander leaves, salt, turmeric powder, and red chili powder to the bread crumbs. Mix well to combine all the ingredients.
  • STEP 4.Heat a griddle or tawa and grease it with oil or ghee.
  • STEP 5.Take a portion of the bread poha mixture and spread it evenly on the griddle to form a round uttapam shape.
  • STEP 6.Cook on medium heat until the bottom side turns golden brown and crispy. Flip and cook the other side as well.
  • STEP 7.Repeat the process with the remaining mixture to make more uttapams.
  • STEP 8.Serve the bread poha uttapam hot with chutney or ketchup.

Cooking Tips

  • You can add grated carrots, capsicum, or any other vegetables of your choice to the mixture for added flavor and nutrition.
  • Make sure to squeeze out any excess water from the soaked poha before adding it to the bread crumbs.
  • Adjust the spice levels according to your preference by adding more or less chili powder and green chilies.
