  • 0.08 cup Grated Coconut
  • 0.83 En Chilies
  • 0.17 teaspoon Cumin Seeds
  • 0.33 cup Yogurt
  • 0.33 tablespoon Oil
  • 0.17 teaspoon Mustard Seeds
  • 0.17 teaspoon Urad Dal
  • as needed A Few Curry Leaves
  • As required Salt To Taste

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Wash and clean the Brahmi leaves thoroughly.
  • STEP 2.In a blender, grind the Brahmi leaves, grated coconut, green chilies, and cumin seeds to a smooth paste.
  • STEP 3.In a bowl, whisk the yogurt and add the ground paste. Mix well.
  • STEP 4.In a small pan, heat oil and add mustard seeds, urad dal, and curry leaves. Let them splutter.
  • STEP 5.Add this tempering to the yogurt mixture and mix well.
  • STEP 6.Season with salt and serve the Brahmi Leaves Thambli with rice or as a dip with dosas and idlis.
