#mom Bottle gourd vadi is the tasty steamed fritters which is made up with chickpea flour. Best serve with green chutney and tea☕. My mom love chickpea flour and bottle gourd both that's how this vadis are one of her favorite smacks.

Ingredients for Bottle gourd vadi Recipe

  • 1/2 Cup Gram flour
  • 1/2 Tsp Ground turmeric
  • 1/4 Tsp Red Chili Powder
  • 1/2 Tsp Saltas required
  • 1/4 Tsp Ginger
  • 3/4 Pieces Garlic
  • 1 Pieces Green chilli
  • 125 Gm Bottle gourd ( Lauki)
  • 1/2 Cups Oil to fry
  • 1 Tbsp Crushed peanuts
  • 1/2 Tbsp Oil

Directions: Bottle Gourd Vadi Recipe

  • STEP 1.To make the amazing Dudhi Vadi, take a bowl, and add 2 cups of gram flour.
  • STEP 2.Next step – add 1/2 tsp of turmeric powder, 1 tsp of red chilli powder, and salt as per taste, and mix everything well.
  • STEP 3.Next step – little by little, add water and prepare a buttermilk consistency batter.
  • STEP 4.Next step – take a crushed, add 1 inch of ginger, 4 green chilli, 7 garlic cloves, and crush everything well.
  • STEP 5.Next step – take 500 grams of bottle gourd, peel it, and grate it well(make sure you remove the middle portion).
  • STEP 6.Next step – place a kadhai on flame, add 2 tbsp of oil, and heat well.
  • STEP 7.After the oil is hot, add 1 tsp of mustard seeds, 2 pinches of asafoetida, prepared paste, and roast for a minute.
  • STEP 8.After 1 minute, add the grated bottle gourd(remove the excess water before adding), and cook for 3-4 minutes.
  • STEP 9.After 3-4 minutes, add prepared gram flour batter, mix well and cook until thick.
  • STEP 10.After the mix starts turning thick, add 4 tbsp of crushed peanuts, and mix well.
  • STEP 11.After the mix turns thick, turn off the flame, transfer the mixture to a greased plate, and spread well.
  • STEP 12.Now, keep the plate aside and let it set for some time.
  • STEP 13.Next step – Cut the mixture into small squire pieces.
  • STEP 14.Next step – place a pan on flame, add oil for frying, and heat well.
  • STEP 15.After the oil is hot, add Vadi pieces into the pan and fry until golden and crispy.
  • STEP 16.After the Vadi turns golden & crispy, transfer them to a plate and fry the next batch.
  • STEP 17.Now your amazing Dudhi Vadi is completely ready, and you can enjoy it.
