STEP 1.In a mixer grinder, add ¾ cup of sugar, ¼ tsp of cumin seeds and 4 nos of cardamom
STEP 2.To the mixture add 1 ½ pieces of banana and blend it wll in the grinder to form a medium consistency.
STEP 3.Add ¼ tsp of baking soda and mix well
STEP 4.To the batter add 1 cup of wheat flour, ½ cup of maida and pinch of salt.
STEP 5.Pour in a cup of water. Knead well to form a loose dough.
STEP 6.Keep aside the dough in a closed container with a lid for 2 hours.
STEP 7.Heat the cooking oil in a deep fry pan. Take rolls of medium size dough and fry them in a pan on a low flame.
STEP 8.Toss the sides to get a golden brown colour.
STEP 9.Repeat the procedure with the rest of the dough.

STEP 1.Instead of sugar, grated jaggery of the same quantity can be used.
