It is a popular way of preparing urad daal in. West Bengal with fennel seeds and ginger paste, especially during the scorching heat of summer to keep the body cool .This is serve with steamed rice and aloo posto.
STEP 2.Boil it in a pressure cooker along with salt and turmeric .
STEP 3.Now make a paste of ginger and fennel seeds.
STEP 4.Heat oil in a pan add bay leaf,dry red chill and hing.
STEP 5.Saute the ginger fennel seeds paste along with turmeric powder and salt.
STEP 6.Mix the boiled dal ,allow it to cook ,mix sugar and remove.
STEP 7.Serve it with steamed rice and aloo posto.
