Ingredients for Biryani Cook-off - Vegetable Pulao. Recipe

  • 0-125 gm Ricenicely washed.
  • 1/2 nos Tomato - finely chopped.
  • 1/2 nos Potato - finely chopped.
  • 1/2 nos Onion - finely chopped.
  • 1/2 nos Carrot - finely chopped.
  • 1/2 nos Capsicum - finely chopped.
  • As required Ginger- small piece finely chopped.
  • 1/2 nos Green chilly - finely chopped.
  • 1 nos Oil - tbsp.
  • As required Salt- To taste.
  • 0.13 nos Turmeric powder - teaspoon.
  • 1/4 nos Red chilli powder - teaspoon.
  • 1/2 nos Coriander powder - teaspoon.
  • 0.13 nos Garam masala powder - teaspoon.
  • 1.50 nos cloves - or
  • 1/2 nos Bay leaf -
  • As required Curry leaves - few.
  • 1/2 nos Cumin seeds - teaspoon.
  • 2.25 nos Water - or cups.
  • As required Coriander leaves - few finely chopped (optional).

  • STEP 1.Take a medium size cooker & put oil in it.After the oil gets little hot add cumin seeds,bay leaf & curry leaves in it to make a tadka.Now add turmeric & salt.Then add all veggies to saute them nicely by adding all spices & cloves along with green chilly too.Now add Rice & water & close the lid of cooker.Cook on medium flame for 2 - 3 mins.Remove from flame & garnish with Coriander leaves.Serve hot.
