#snack Bhakarwadi is West India’s popular scacks. Basically bhakarwadi’s are fried, crispy, spiral rolls filled with stuffing which are sweet crispy and tangy in taste.

Ingredients for Bhakarvadi Recipe

  • As Required Dough
  • 0.08 cup All purpose flour
  • 0.15 Tsp Gram flour
  • To Taste Salt to per your taste
  • 0.15 tsp 2-4 tsp
  • As Required water
  • As Required Masala
  • 0.08 tsp Coriander seeds
  • 0.08 tsp Cumin seeds
  • 0.08 tsp Fennel seeds
  • 1/25 cup dry coconut
  • 1/25 tsp Garam masala
  • 0.08 tsp Red kashmiri chilli powder
  • 1/25 tsp Salt
  • 1/25 tsp Sugar
  • 0.08 cup Sev
  • As Required Tamarind chutney

Directions: Bhakarvadi Recipe

  • STEP 1.Bhakarvadi dough:
  • STEP 2.Take 1 cup of maida(all purpose flour) and 2 table spoon besan(gram flour). After that add half tea spoon of salt(or you can take according to your taste). Heat 2-3 tea spoons of oil in a pan for 5 min. and then pour it into the flour mixture. After adding the oil flour comes to nicely firm texture. Gradually add some water into it and make a dough. Let it sit for 15-20 min.
  • STEP 3.Bhakarwadi Feeling
  • STEP 4.Take 1 tsp coriander seeds, 1 tsp cumin seeds, 1 tsp fennel seeds. Roast it for 2-3 min. After that add 1 tbsp white sesame seeds, and then 1/2 cup of dry desiccated coconut. Roast the mixture till get brown color. Now turn off the stove and keep it aside. Cool the mixture completely and transfer the ingredients into the mixture jar. It that mixture add 1/2 tsp of garam masala, 1 tsp kashmiri chili powder(as per your taste) 1/2 tsp salt(If you want you can add more or less), 1/2 tsp sugar(If you want you can add more or less).Grind to a nice fine powder.
  • STEP 5.Dough and Masala
  • STEP 6.Divide the dough into 2 or 3 portions. Roll it to a medium thickness. Don’t make it too thick or too thin. After rolling add 1 small tsp of sweet tamarind chutney on the roll(for different taste you can add some khatti mithi chutney also. Now spread the mixture evenly on all sides of the roll. Now sprinkle some mora sev on it. After your feeling is ready dab a little water on the edges of the roll. Make sure you roll it nice and tight(while rolling you can use some water or green chutney so that the feeling will stick properly. After rolling seel the ends and cut the rolled out dough in the half inch pieces.
  • STEP 7.Heat some oil in a pan after 5-6 min add the bhakawadi pieces into the oil for frying. Make sure that you are frying the bhakarwadi’s on a medium flame. Deep fry it till it get a nice golden color. After frying remove them from the oil and put on a tissue paper so that the extra oil will get absorbed by the paper.
  • STEP 8.And here.. Your Delicious Crispy and Some Sweet tangy Bhakarwadi is ready to serve… You can store it for so many days and enjoy it with your Tea snack…
