Home Cooked Bolognese Recipe

Recipe By Australia’s Best Recipes

Bolognese is a staple in our house, and has been so for generations. This recipe has been handed down and passed on, enhanced and embellished, but has stood the test of time. The richness of flavour in this spectacular bolognese is amplified by gently reducing a medley of fresh organic roma tomatoes, home grown oregano, basil and bay leaves to form an intense taste signature. Along with home-roasted garlic, two kinds of meat, plus streaky bacon add fullness and a wonderful depth, while a hint of nutmeg brings a subtly sweet balance to the sauce. Finally, the chorizo crumb and shaved parmesan toppings complement the dish to leave you wanting more, with a delightful fragrant after-tone.
