STEP 1.Wash Gobindo bhog Rice & basmati rice & Dals 3-4 times & soak for 30 min.
STEP 2.After that in a large vessel, put soaked Rice & dals. Add Turmeric powder & 15 cups of water. Allow it to boil.
STEP 3.Heat 2 tbsp of Mustard oil, fry Cauliflower florets with pinch of salt & turmeric powder & keep aside. Then fry potato pieces & keep aside.
STEP 4.In the same pan, add 2 tbsp of Mustard oil, add cumin seeds, whole garam masalas, dry red chillies. After crackling, put all Vegetables one by one. Add salt to taste, Turmeric powder & ginger paste. Cook for 2-3 min on medium flame.
STEP 5.Put the veggie mixture into the boiling dal & rice mixture & add fried potatoes & Cauliflower florets. Mix together properly & cook together on low flame until all dals, rice & vegetables are cooked properly. Adjust salt & sugar & cook for another 2 min. Finally add ghee, switch off the flame cover the Vessel & keep on a standing time for 15 min.
STEP 6.Traditionally this amazing Bengali mixed veg Khichdi is served with some fried items (bhajabhuji) & Pui saaker Chorchori.
