  • 1 inch Ginger
  • 4 No.s Garlic
  • 3 No.s Green chilly
  • 1 cup Conout grated
  • 1/2 cup Coriander leaves, chopped
  • 1 No.s Lemon juice
  • 3 teaspoon Sesame Seeds
  • 3 teaspoon Coriander powder
  • 2 teaspoon Salt
  • 4 teaspoon Sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon Red chilli powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric
  • As required Ingredients for Undhiyo
  • 1/2 inch Flat beans cut into s 0.5 cup
  • 1/2 cup Raw banana peeled and sliced
  • 1/2 cup Yam, diced small
  • 5 No.s Baby Potatoes
  • 5 No.s Brinjal
  • 2 tablespoon Ghee
  • 1 teaspoon Ajwain seeds
  • As required Ingredients for Muthias
  • 1 cup Besan
  • 1/4 cup Methi leaves, chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon Asafoetida
  • 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Red chilly powder
  • 1 No.s Lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon Oil

Directions: Bengali Lau Dei Tetor Dal Recipe

  • STEP 1.In a pressure cooker add 1 cup washed yellow moong dal, 1 cup bottle gourd diced,1 inch ginger finely chopped, 2 inch green chillies slit, ½ tsp turmeric, salt to taste, 1 tsp sugar, 3 cups of water. Mix the ingredients. Pressure cook for 3 whistles and allow the pressure to release naturally.
  • STEP 2.In a preheated pan and 2 tbsp mustard oil, ½ tsp cumin, 1 slit green chilli and roast for a few seconds.
  • STEP 3.Add 1 bitter gourd cut into circular slices.sprinkle salt and cover and cook for about 5 minutes.
  • STEP 4.Next add the cooked dal and gourd.mix together well. Add ½ cup water to adjust consistency and give it a brisk boil. Dal is ready.
