Kalakand is an Indian sweet. Indian version of milk cake made with solidified sweetend milk and cheena.It is particularly prepared especially during the festive season. I made holi special colourful kalakand with combination of beetroot and thandai masala powder.

Ingredients for Beetroot Thandai Kalakand#BSK Recipe

  • 0.17 Cup Grated beetroot
  • 1/50 Litre Milk
  • 16.67 g Sugar
  • 16.67 g Paneer
  • 14.17 g Khoya
  • 1/2 Tsp Ghee
  • 0.33 Tbsp Thandai masala pawder
  • As Required For Ganishing A little almond
  • As Required For Ganishing pistachio crumbs (for garnish)

Directions: Beetroot Thandai Kalakand#bsk Recipe

  • STEP 1.Heat ghee and fry it for a while with grated beetroot and mix it with milk.
  • STEP 2.When it boils, it should be well mixed with paneer and khoya.
  • STEP 3.After 2-3 minutes add sugar.
  • STEP 4.After cooking for 5 minutes, mix it with thandai masala powder and after 2-3 more minutes, when it becomes thick, pour it in a ghee greased dish and spread it evenly.
  • STEP 5.Spread the dried fruits on top and refrigerate for a while to set.
  • STEP 6.Take it out of the fridge and cut it into squares with the help of a knife and serve.
