Ingredients for Beetroot Raita Recipe

  • 1 No.s Beetroot peeled and grated
  • 2 cup Curds
  • 2 No.s Green Chillies chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon Roasted cumin powder
  • As required Salt
  • As required Ingredients for Tempering
  • 1/2 teaspoon Oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon Mustard seds
  • 1/2 teaspoon Split urad dal
  • 1 sprig Curry leaves

Directions: Beetroot Raita Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1.Wash, peel and grate 1 beetroot.

  • STEP 1.In a preheated pan add ½ tsp oil, ½ tsp mustard seeds, ½ tsp split urad dal and allow the seeds to crackle on low to medium heat and stir till and the dal turns golden brown. Then add 1 sprig of curry leaf torn and stir for a few seconds and turn off the heat. Keep it aside.

  • STEP 1.In a mixing bowl, add 2 cups of curd, 1 raw peeled and grated beetroot and mix.

step 4

  • STEP 1.Next add the tadka and 2 chopped green chillies and ½ tsp cumin powder. Add salt to taste. Mix and serve chilled.
