Ingredients for Beetroot Halwa Recipe

  • 500 Gms Peeled and grated beet
  • 1 Cup sugar
  • 2 Teaspoon Unsweetened khova we can use milk powder or almond meal instead
  • 1 Cup milk (at room temp)
  • 1/2 Teaspoon cardamom powder
  • 3 Teaspoon Ghee - for frying
  • 1 Teaspoon cashews (kaju) & raisins (optional)

Directions: Beetroot Halwa Recipe

  • STEP 1.Heat vessel and add ghee . Fry cashews & kismiss and transfer to plate.
  • STEP 2.In same vessel add grated beetroot & milk . Cook till beetroot becomes soft .
  • STEP 3.Once beetroot becomes tender add sugar and khoya.
  • STEP 4.Once sugar added it starts to release water all the sides. Cook till water drains completely.
  • STEP 5.Once water drains add cardamom powder and 2-3 teaspoons ghee.
  • STEP 6.Turn off the flame and garnish with cashews & kismiss
