Beef Goulash Recipe

This beef goulash is my take on a hungarian classic. In it, i use lots of vegetables to make it a one dish meal. Lean ground beef, lots of fresh vegetables and a perfect blend of seasonings are simmered in a rich tomato sauce. Add the pasta to the same pot and let it cook until tender and the sauce is slightly thickened. Top it with sour cream and a sprinkle of cheese and dinner is served.

  • 1/4 tablespoon Olive oil
  • 1/4 pound Lean ground beef

  • 0.13 Small green pepper diced
  • 0.13 Medium onion diced
  • 0.13 Medium carrot peeled and diced
  • 0.13 Rib celery diced
  • 1/2 Cloves garlic minced
  • 0.03 cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 1.81 ounce 2 cans tomato sauce
  • 1.81 ounce 1 can fire roasted tomatoes
  • 0.38 cup Dry elbow macaroni or twisted elbow macaroni
  • 1/2 cup Water
  • As required Seasonings
  • 1/4 tablespoon Dark chili powder
  • 1/4 tablespoon Hungarian paprika
  • 0.13 teaspoon Red pepper flakes
  • 0.13 teaspoon Dried thyme
  • 0.13 teaspoon Dry oregano
  • 1/4 Bay leaves
  • 1/4 tablespoon Sugar
  • 0.13 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.06 teaspoon Black pepper
  • As required At the end
  • 0.03 cup Chopped parsley
  • As required Grated cheddar cheese and sour cream for garnishing
