In cooking, a meat “cutlet” refers to a lean cut of beef usually taken from the animal's rib, breast or leg section. Veg cutlets are generally common among vegetarians. But are you a non-veg lover and want to try something different? Then here's an excellent option for you: crispy fried beef cutlets. This delicious, spicy and mouth-watering non-veg snack is a palm-sized deep-fried patty stuffed with filling and coated in breadcrumbs. Many spices are added to the mutton mince to make beef cutlets. Flour and bread are also added to it to be well bound. And after giving the shape of cutlets, they are fried.

Ingredients for Beef Cutlet Recipe

  • 0.42 No.s Potato
  • 0.08 kilogram Boneless beef
  • 0.17 piece Ginger
  • 0.42 No.s Green Chilli
  • 0.17 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 0.13 teaspoon Fennel Seeds
  • 0.33 spring Curry leaves
  • 1/25 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • To Taste Salt
  • 0.33 No.s Onion
  • 1/25 teaspoon Black Pepper Powder

Directions: Beef Cutlet Recipe

Steps to prepare

  • STEP 1.Wash and cook potatoes in a pressure cooker until 5-6 whistles. After it cools down, peel off the potato skin.
  • STEP 2.Wash and drain the beef.
  • STEP 3.Crush 1-inch piece ginger,2 green chillies, 1½ tsp fennel seeds,2 tsp black pepper and 2 strands of curry leaves using pestle or mortar.

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Take a pressure cooker and add 1 kg boneless beef, crushed ginger-green chilli-fennel seed-black pepper-curry leaves, salt to taste and ¼ tsp turmeric powder. Mix it well.
  • STEP 2.Cook it in the pressure cooker without adding water to it. Turn off the flame after 6 whistles.
  • STEP 3.Allow the cooker to cool well, and then carefully open the lid.
  • STEP 4.Roast on flame till the stock from beef evaporates and becomes dry. When it is almost dry, add 1 tbsp oil so that it doesn’t stick to the bottom of the cooker. Do not overcook. Turn off the flame. Let it cool down.
  • STEP 5.Take the cooked beef in a jar and mince it.
  • STEP 6.Heat 4tbsp oil in a pan, add the chopped onions and saute it. Meanwhile, crush 1-inch ginger piece, 3 green chillies, 1 tsp black pepper, 1 tsp fennel seed and 2 strands of curry leaves in a pestle or mortar. Intermittently stir the onion.
  • STEP 7.When onions are almost sauteed and attain a golden brown colour, add the crushed mix, ½ tsp black pepper powder and ¼ tsp garam masala. Mix well. Add salt as required.
  • STEP 8.Add the minced beef and mix well. Please turn off the flame and add the boiled, mashed potatoes. Mix it well.
  • STEP 9.After it cools down, knead it with your hands. Now we can shape the mixture into desirable shapes.
  • STEP 10.Take 3tsp cornflour in a bowl and add some water. Mix it well. Beat an egg with it. Take some bread crumbs in another bowl.
  • STEP 11.Heat some oil in a pan. Dip the cutlet in the egg mix and coat with breadcrumbs, and fry it in medium flame
  • STEP 12.Flip it slowly. Fry until golden brown. Repeat step 14-15 for the rest of the cutlets
  • STEP 13.A delicious beef cutlet is ready to be served.

  • STEP 1.The cooking time of beef and the number of whistles depends on the cooker type.

Storage and serving method

  • STEP 1.Before getting started, heat the oil for 6-8 minutes on a medium flame.
  • STEP 2.Never fry the croquettes or cutlets on high flame.
  • STEP 3.Instead, submerge the croquette or cutlet fully into the pan with enough oil.
  • STEP 4.Slowly fry them until brownish golden on both sides, and try to add two at a time.
