Baos and chinese steamed buns that turn out pretty amazing. Heres a fuaion recipe that i have created bybsteaming some fresh Bao buns and paired them with some BBQ Chicken strips. Hope you all will love this fusion too.

Ingredients for BBQ Chicken Buns #ChickenRecipes #FEM5K Recipe

  • 1/4 Pieces For the Baos
  • 87.50 g grms All purpose flour +some more for dustin
  • 5 g rms milk powder
  • 1/4 tsp Yogurt
  • 1.25 g rms Instant yeast
  • 8.75 g grms unflavoured oil+some more for greasin
  • 1/4 g Filling
  • 50 g bonless chicken pcs
  • 1/4 tbsp Ginger garlic paste
  • 1/4 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 tbsp Bbq sauce
  • 1/4 tbsp Oil

  • STEP 1.12-15 Parchment paper squares
  • STEP 2.filling-
  • STEP 3.200 grms bonless chicken pcs
  • STEP 4.1 tbsp Ginger garlic paste
  • STEP 5.1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • STEP 6.1 tbsp BBQ Sauce
  • STEP 7.1 onion sliced
  • STEP 8.1 tbsp oil
  • STEP 9.Method
  • STEP 10.Take the flour,add milk powder,sugar & yeast
  • STEP 11.Add the yogurt
  • STEP 12.In warm water add the oil.Make a well in the flour
  • STEP 13.Add the oil and warm water mixture.Mix everything with a spatula
  • STEP 14.Now with the help of ur hands start kneading the dough.Knead for almost 12 to 15 mins
  • STEP 15.Oil the dough,place it back in our bowl,cover with a samp cloth and let it rise for 1hrs and 30 mins
  • STEP 16.Meanwhile let's prepare our filling-Marinate the chicken with some onions, ginger garlic paste,Worcestershire sauce
  • STEP 17.Add the bbq sauce and marinate the chicken for 30mins
  • STEP 18.Heat oil in a pan and add the marinated chicken and add little water and cook till the chicken is done
  • STEP 19.Our dough has rised well.Look at the texture of the dough
  • STEP 20.Punch the dough to remove all the air bubbles and roll the dough till 1 inch thick disc.Pour some oil and spread it
  • STEP 21.With the help of a small bowl 8 inches diameter preferred.Make roundels on the rolled dough.Cut them and then gently fold each rolled disc
  • STEP 22.Place the folded bao on the steamer placed on the butter paper and let then rose for another 30 mins.After 30 mins the buns have rised well
  • STEP 23.Boil water and place our steamer over it.Cover the baos with a lid covered in napkin so the water droplets frm the steam.do not fall on the baos.Steam for exact 12 mins and then close the stove and let the baos rest in the steamer for 5 mins.Repeat for test of the baos
  • STEP 24.Our baos have steams well and have fluffed up too

  • STEP 25.The steamed buns are very soft.When we open them, they easily open up.This is because we had applied oil before folding them.

  • STEP 26.Now take our chicken filling and fill it in the Baos
  • STEP 27.Fill the baos with our chicken filling,add some cucumber slices for crunch.You can use more bbq sauce if you like.Just spread over the baos
