Basket chaat is a unique way of serving the traditional chaat. Instead of regular plates or pattas, a potato nest or basket is prepared and then tikkis, chutneys, potatoes, matar etc are sprinkled all over.

1/4 For potato Basket 3 medium sized potatoes
1/4 bowl chilled water
1/2 tablespoon cornflour

1/2 For Tikkis 1 big sized Beetroot – Grated
1/4 cup spinach – Finely Chopped
1/4 potato – Boiled and mashed
1/4 cup peas – Boiled
1/4 inch ginger – Finely chopped
0.13 cup Fresh coriander leaves – Finely Chopped
1/4 teaspoon garam masala
1/4 teaspoon Dhaniya powder
As required Salt
As required pepper powder
1/2 tablespoon cornflour powder
As required oil to fry
3/4 cup For White peas 2 dry white peas – Soaked and Boiled
1/4 teaspoon Salt
1/4 teaspoon garam masala powder
1/4 teaspoon amchur powder
1/4 pinch astoefida
1 For Meethi Chutney – Sonth
1/2 cup Imli water – Soak imli overnight in water and drain in the morning. Save water
1/2 medium sized jaggery
As required Red chilli powder
1-1.25 dates – finely chopped
1/4 teaspoon ginger – finely chopped
1/4 pinch astoefida
1/4 teaspoon cumin
As required Salt
1/4 teaspoon Ghee
1.25 For Green Chutney
1/4 cup clean and fresh coriander leaves
0.13 cup Mint leaves
1/4 medium size tomato
As required amchur powder
As required jeera powder
As required Salt
As required Green chillies
1/4 teaspoon Ginger
0.13 teaspoon Sugar
1/4 Juice of lemon
