  • STEP 1.In a mixing bowl, mash 2 ripe bananas until smooth.
  • STEP 2.Add 1 cup of banana flour, 1/4 cup of rice flour, 1/4 cup of semolina, 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, 1/2 teaspoon of cumin seeds, and a pinch of asafoetida. Mix well.
  • STEP 3.Gradually add water to make a thick batter. Let it rest for 10 minutes.
  • STEP 4.Heat an appe pan and add a few drops of oil in each cavity.
  • STEP 5.Pour a spoonful of batter into each cavity and cook on medium heat until the bottom turns golden brown.
  • STEP 6.Flip the appe using a spoon and cook the other side until golden brown.
