  • 6 Apples
  • 1/2 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1.50 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
  • 0.33 cup Chopped Pecans
  • 3 tablespoon Butter
  • 2 cup Water

Directions: Baked Apple Terrine With Calvados Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1.Preheat the oven to 375 degrees fahrenheit.

  • STEP 2.Starting from the apple stem, use a paring knife to remove cores from each apple, leaving the bottom of the apple intact to create a hollow bowl-like interior.

  • STEP 3.Place each prepared apple into a 9x13 baking dish.

step 4

  • STEP 4.In a small bowl, stir together brown sugar, cinnamon, and chopped pecans.

  • STEP 5.Spoon into the center of each apple to fill to top.

step 6

  • STEP 6.Place 1/2 tablespoon of butter on top of each apple center.

  • STEP 7.Pour water into the bottom of the baking dish so that the apples sit in the water and steam.

  • STEP 8.Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until apples are soft.

  • STEP 9.Serve warm with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
