  • 1/2 inch Ginger
  • 2.25 Lic Cloves
  • 1/2 Onion, Finely Chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Chopped Coriander Leaves
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cumin Seeds
  • 1/4 teaspoon Red Chili Powder

  • STEP 1.Soak chana dal for 4-5 hours and drain the water.
  • STEP 2.Grind the dal with green chilies, ginger, and garlic to a coarse paste.
  • STEP 3.Add chopped onions, coriander leaves, cumin seeds, red chili powder, and salt to the dal mixture.
  • STEP 4.Mix well and shape the mixture into small balls.
  • STEP 5.Heat oil in a pan and deep-fry the balls until golden and crispy.
  • STEP 6.Serve hot with green chutney or tamarind chutney.

Cooking Tips

  • Make sure to soak the chana dal for at least 4-5 hours to soften it.
  • You can add a pinch of baking soda to the dal mixture for a crispier texture.
