  • STEP 1.To make the almond paste, soak almonds in hot water for 15 minutes, then remove the skin and grind them into a smooth paste.
  • STEP 2.In a pan, heat ghee and add the almond paste. Cook on low heat for 5 minutes, then add jaggery and cook until it melts and the mixture thickens.
  • STEP 3.Divide the dough into small balls and roll them into thin circles. Place a spoonful of the almond-jaggery mixture in the center of each circle and fold the edges to seal it.
  • STEP 4.Heat a tawa or griddle and cook the poli on both sides until golden brown, brushing ghee on top.
