Ingredients for Baby Potato Biriyani Recipe

  • 2 Cups Basmati rice
  • 5 Pieces potatoes of small size
  • 1 Cup Curd
  • 1 Cup birasto
  • 2 Tbsp Oil
  • 2 Pieces Bay leaf
  • 1 Tsp Cumin seeds
  • 1 Pieces Star anise
  • 2 Tsp Ginger garlic paste
  • 1 Tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 Tsp Red chilli powder
  • 2 Tsp Garam masala
  • 2 Tsp Dhaniya jeera powder
  • 1/2 Cup Mint leaves
  • 1 Pieces Tomato
  • 2 Pieces green chillies – slit or sliced
  • 1/2 Cup Coriander leaves
  • To Taste Salt
  • 1 Tbsp Ghee
  • A Few Black pepper
  • 4 A Few Cloves
  • 1 Cup veaten curd
  • 1/2 Cup Mint leaves
  • 1 Tsp Cumin seeds

Directions: Baby Potato Biriyani Recipe

  • STEP 1.Par oiled baby potatoes. Peel off and prick it. Pan fry it. Keep it aside.
  • STEP 2.In a large pot boil the water. Add soaked rice once water starts boiling. Add ghee, salt, pepper and cloves while cooking rice. Cook it upto 80% cooked. Transfer it to a sieve to drain away remaining water.
  • STEP 3.In a bowl add tomatoes, ginger garlic paste, green chillies, coriander leaves and half of the birasto. Add little water and grind it to a paste. Add chopped mint leaves to it.
  • STEP 4.In a pan add oil. Add cumin seeds, bay leaf, star anis and prepared paste and saute for 2 minutes.
  • STEP 5.Now add beaten curd and mix well. Heat should be low while doing this process.
  • STEP 6.Now add pan fried potatoes, Little water and mix well. Cook for 5 minutes.
  • STEP 7.Now add cooked rice. Spread it evenly. Cover the pan and cook for sometime.
  • STEP 8.Add remaining birasto on top. Also add some fresh coriander leaves and serve.
