Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Soak the avarekalu in water for a few hours or overnight.
  • STEP 2.Drain the water and pressure cook the avarekalu until they are soft and tender.
  • STEP 3.Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds, urad dal, and curry leaves. Once the mustard seeds start to splutter, add chopped onions and green chilies.
  • STEP 4.Saut茅 the onions until they turn translucent and add the cooked avarekalu.
  • STEP 5.Add salt, turmeric powder, and grated coconut. Mix well and cook for a few minutes.
  • STEP 6.Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot as a side dish or a snack.
