Vegetarian and simple curry at any food street food of Karnataka. Avarekalu sagu or avarekalu curry recipe made with a few very common kitchen ingredients.
STEP 1.1. heat coconut oil in a pan and sputter mustard seeds.
STEP 2.2. Add finely chopped onions and sauté well till the onion becomes translucent.
STEP 3.3. Add half slit chillies, garlics, and the curry leaves to sauté for 2 minutes.
STEP 4.4. Lower the flame and add red chillies and turmeric powder.
STEP 5.5. Add tomatoes and 1 cup water.
STEP 6.6. Add avarekai beans and cover the pan with a lid and cook the beans for 10 minutes on low flames
STEP 7.7. Add 1 cup water and cook the avakerai again for 10 minutes on low flame
STEP 8.8. Sauté in between and when the avarekai cooked well and the gravy thickens switch off the flame.
STEP 9.9. The curry is ready.
